Face App

A reverse image search mini-app

My role

Team lead & designer. I led the product and graphic design team and ran design review, designing hands-on.

Breakdown

  • The challenge — Dense search logic, made effortless on mobile

Reverse image search and facial matching are dense, technical workflows. The challenge was to make that power feel effortless inside Telegram's native browser, where screen space is tight, performance expectations are high and trust matters. Complex search logic and match confidence had to be translated into a clean mobile interface that loads fast, guides first-time users and communicates results clearly — all while feeling privacy-conscious and lightweight.

  • The approach — A minimalist, dark-themed mobile UI

A minimalist, dark-themed UI was designed, optimized for mobile and tuned for Telegram's native browser. The flow centers on a simple upload-and-search interaction, with a modular results interface that surfaces matches alongside confidence levels and an accessible pro-features menu — image search, clone finder, score scanner, clipboard and URL. Custom 3D assets and animated cues anchor the onboarding and feedback screens, giving the product a futuristic identity through a dark palette and bold UI elements.

  • Selected screens

Face match results — search results feed showing matched face thumbnails and a pro-features menu on mobile. 3D app icon mockup — 3D phone mockup with orbiting rings and the Gods Eye reverse search app icon on a dark screen.

Overview

I built Face App, a reverse image search tool for the Telegram mini-app ecosystem. Branded in-product as Gods Eye, it lets users upload a photo and find visually similar images using facial recognition and visual matching, returning ranked results with confidence indicators. I designed and built it as a fully responsive Telegram mini-app — a hybrid between a visual search engine and a face detection tool — with a Telegram-native experience that feels intuitive, fast and privacy-conscious. It is a Telegram-native reverse image search app with facial recognition, designed for fast, privacy-conscious visual matching on mobile.
