Bolt Food
Concept redesign — chat & live location
Product designer — a self-initiated concept redesign.

Breakdown
- Quick messages
Chips for common questions and an on-my-way button so the courier doesn't need to call.
- Live location
Time-limited location sharing to close the last-metres gap when both are nearby but can't see each other.
Overview
A self-initiated concept redesign of the Bolt Food app — a design case study, not client work, born from my own experience with couriers calling to find the meeting spot. I focused on communication: quick messages, an on-my-way notification, and time-limited live-location sharing.
The challenge
Coordinating the hand-off between courier and customer often comes down to a phone call. The app had a clear opportunity to make that communication faster and clearer in-product.
What I did
From research across leading communication interfaces, I added quick-message chips, an on-my-way notification, quick location and call actions, and time-limited live-location sharing so both sides can find each other.
