IGT, Kambi, Gamzix rebranded. None of them own the screen.
Three iGaming suppliers rebranded within four weeks in September 2026. A supplier's brand lives inside operators' products, so its design system has to pass a tougher test than the booth wall.

Three iGaming suppliers rebranded in the space of 26 days this September: Kambi on September 2, Gamzix on September 15 and IGT on September 28, 2026, on the opening day of G2E in Las Vegas. Every launch was told as a story about who the company is becoming. Nobody said where those brands will actually be seen: inside products the suppliers do not own.
All three rebrands are consolidation stories wearing a logo
IGT's identity follows the July 2025 combination of International Game Technology's gaming business with Everi under Apollo, as Casino.org reported. CEO Hector Fernandez told CDC Gaming the company had been through "four different logos" in roughly 48 years, and that the old one read as "a bit stuffy, maybe some would say arrogant." What he wants to sell now is "casino as a service."
Kambi's release of September 2, 2026 puts its sportsbook technology, Tzeract's AI trading platform, Shape Games' front-end technology and Abios' esports business under a single Kambi brand, with a network of more than 70 partners across more than 100 regulated markets and roughly €17 billion in annual turnover.
Gamzix, six years old and licensed in Malta, swapped a light scheme for black as its primary color and kept yellow only to suggest movement, according to the release carried by European Gaming. Its chief commercial officer, Yuriy Muratov, put it plainly: "We're not becoming something new."
Three companies, one job for the brand: tell customers who used to buy from several names that they now buy from one. That is a naming-architecture decision before it is a logo decision, the same trap I wrote about when Coinbase renamed its wallet after its own chain.
A supplier brand is mostly seen at 24 pixels, inside someone else's product
Where does a player meet Gamzix? As a tile in a lobby grid, under an operator's palette, at one of the 2,000-plus operator partners the company claims. Where does a bettor meet Kambi? Mostly they don't. The front end belongs to the operator, and the Shape Games layer Kambi just absorbed is sold to operators precisely so their own brand can sit on top. Where does a slot player meet IGT? On a cabinet, under the casino's lighting, beside the casino's signage.
So the honest test for a supplier identity is not the booth wall. It is this: small, single-color, next to a logo you don't control, on a background you didn't pick. IGT's new mark is a wordmark in a vivid purple gradient, per Casino.org, and Gambling.com noted the company has not said when the branding reaches its product lines or physical cabinets. Gradients are gorgeous at booth scale. More people will see the one-color print on a cabinet bezel than will ever see the gradient.
Black was the smart move, for an unglamorous reason
Gamzix frames black as a sign of maturity. The better reason is environmental. Operator lobbies run dark. Game thumbnails are loud by design. A studio mark on a splash screen has to get out of the way of the game art, and a black identity with one kinetic accent does exactly that. It is an ingredient brand that knows it is an ingredient.
In the lobbies I design, including a crypto casino and sportsbook built end to end, a studio's logo lives in two places: a provider filter chip and a badge on the game tile. Both are under 24 pixels tall. An identity that cannot survive those two placements was not designed for the market it sells into. That is the brief I'd write for any brand and design system in this vertical: start from the smallest hostile placement and work up to the hero.
One name is cheaper to sell and more expensive to explain
Kambi folding three names into one is the right call for a sales team. One booth at G2E, one deck, one website. Gerard Starkey, Kambi's senior vice president of marketing and communications, said the refresh "isn't just about how Kambi looks," and he is right. It is about what one name now has to carry. Operators who picked Shape Games for a front end did not pick Kambi. They picked a specialist. The master brand now has to carry a front-end, an AI trading and an esports reputation at once, and the product naming underneath has to keep each one findable once the old names are gone.
The number Kambi leads with suggests the story is product rather than paint: during the 2026 World Cup, Bet Builder made up 22% of all its live bets, up from 3% in 2022, per the company's own release. A supplier earns its edge in figures like that. The design system's job is to make them legible on an operator's screen, not on Kambi's.
What I'd ship with a supplier rebrand
A brand book is for launch week. A co-branding sheet is for the next five years, and it is the deliverable that matters:
- Lockups with an operator's mark, in both orders, with fixed clear space.
- A one-color and a reversed version that is drawn, not auto-inverted.
- The dark-lobby version, tested on a tile beside the loudest game art in the catalog.
- A minimum size, and a simplified mark for anything below it.
- The "powered by" line and the splash screen, because those are the only two moments a player sees you at all.
- Cabinet and retail guidance for anyone, like IGT, whose product has a bezel.
None of this makes the launch coverage. It is iGaming design at the unglamorous end, where the brand meets the market instead of the press.
Fernandez promised customers would see IGT's "transformation story in motion" at G2E. They did. Players will see it on a bezel, under someone else's lights, at the size of a thumbnail. Design for that room, not the booth.
