Overview
Most white-label iGaming platforms ship as the same sterile template. I rebuilt WildWest as a branded casino and sportsbook — with a custom design system, an illustrated frontier world and UX flows tuned for fast, confident betting across desktop and mobile. I set out to break the pattern of generic white-label templates with a platform that looks and feels like a real brand, not a reskinned template. I immersed myself in the sportsbook and iGaming space, studying user behaviour and interface patterns across dozens of live platforms. The brief was clear: keep the proven technical foundation of a white-label build, but wrap it in a custom design system, original illustration and UX flows that guide players through betting with clarity and confidence. I delivered a full brand identity and visual direction, an illustrated frontier world, a purpose-built UI component library with light and dark themes, and the production UI for the casino lobby and sportsbook across desktop and mobile — all in a documented Figma file ready for the engineering team.
The challenge
Too many iGaming platforms look exactly the same. Generic white-label templates dominate casino and sports betting. They work technically, but they all feel safe, sterile and forgettable — which makes it almost impossible for an operator to stand out or earn player trust. The white-label model gives operators a fast, reliable way to launch a casino and sportsbook, but it comes with a cost: nearly every platform ships from the same template library. The result is a market full of products that work fine yet feel interchangeable, sterile and easy to forget — and a player has no reason to choose one over the next. WildWest needed an iGaming platform that kept the technical advantages of white-label while reading as a distinct brand. The theme had to earn its place: a frontier world that channels the excitement and unpredictability of gambling, with navigation and betting flows that stay fast, intuitive and clear under that brand layer.
What I did
I designed WildWest from the ground up rather than swapping colours on a stock build. A custom design system and original illustration give the platform a frontier world that runs through banners, headers and section dividers, while purpose-built UI components keep the casino lobby and sportsbook fast, responsive and consistent across desktop and mobile. I mapped every betting flow for clarity, so the brand adds character without ever getting in the player's way.
